This project included the restoration and streambank improvement along Yost Creek in Spring City, Pennsylvania. The project consisted of installation of erosion and sediment controls, construction of a temporary haul path, construction of a temporary stream bypass, removal of trees and vegetation, grading of the streambank, installation of erosion control matting, installation of rip rap, repair of an existing storm sewer inlet, installation of native
trees and shrubs and seeding with a riparian seed mix.

Yost Creek MS-4 Streambank Restoration

This project included the restoration and improvement of approximately 465 linear feet of streambank along Dick’s Run at Gouley Park, Nether Providence, Pennsylvania. The project consisted of installation of erosion and sediment controls, construction of a temporary haul, path, construction and removal of a temporary stream crossing, removal of trees and vegetation, grading of the streambank, installation of erosion control matting, installation of native trees and shrubs and seeding with a riparian seed mix.

Gouley Park Streambank Restoration

Nether Providence Township, Pennsylvania ⦁ October, 2021

The scope of work for this project consisted of the excavation, loading and disposal of radioactive soil; excavation loading and disposal of non-hazardous historic fill impacted soil; excavation loading and disposal of surficial asphalt, brick and concrete. There are numerous elements to the park, including, a kayak ramp, pervious paver observation area, wildflower meadows, high and low marsh, an armored shoreline, as well as new fencing and paving for the access road. The project was completed in two stages, with the excavation of the radioactive soils, followed by remediation of the historic fill and subsequent construction of the park features.
